Our first Costa Rica release of the year comes from our longtime Direct Trade partners at Coopedota, a farmer cooperative in Santa María de Dota, Tarrazú that has been producing some of Costa Rica’s finest coffees since 1960 and collaborating with Intelligentsia since 2005. Year after year, Coopedota delivers exceptional coffee, and their carbon-neutral mill stands as a model of environmental stewardship, minimizing water use and treating wastewater to protect the region’s public water sources. With cutting-edge infrastructure, innovative processing, and strong support programs for cooperative members, Coopedota continues to push boundaries and inspire us with every visit. During our visit to Dota earlier this year, we celebrated a major milestone: 20 years of partnership.
